In the Summer of 2026, I spent 3.5 months working at The Cape Playhouse in beautiful Dennis, MA.

As a Scenic Apprentice, I rotated through the Paint, Scenery, and Prop departments. In each rotation, with the help of the department heads, I learned what goes into building a show.

Coming from a film background, this experience took me out of my bubble and immersed me in the world of live theatre. It was a full-time, hands-on position that gave me a taste of shop life without the added pressure of school.

Whether I was mixing paint, building flats, or searching for props, I learned so much every single day. This apprenticeship was not only a learning opportunity; it also introduced me to many wonderful people who I hope to remain friends with for many more years.
